ROSAMUNDA (ROSE) VAN EYK (nee ROTH, REYKDAL) August 17, 1935 June 8, 2008 Peacefully on June 8, 2008, we lost our beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years Jacob Van Eyk, children Rodney (Sandy), Roslyn, Roberta (Dennis), Roxanne (Rick), step-children Diana, Stan (Selena) and Randy, sister Christine (Archie), niece Shelly (Richard), nephew Robert, grandchildren Diana (Gord), Jason, Camille (Dave), Caleb (Sandra), Richard, Simon, Sean, Kate, Dorian, Ezra, Aldo, T.J. and great-grandchildren Jessica, Calista, Erika, Zarah and Marek. Rosamunda was predeceased by her parents John and Carrie Roth, her first husband Helgi Reykdal and her beloved pets Dusty, Rusty and Nate. Rose was a talented musician, artist, seamstress, gardener, cook and a lover of life, bringing sunshine and happiness with her wherever she went. Her family meant the world to her. She was ever generous with her time and affection, always supportive of the efforts of her loved ones and proud of all of their accomplishments. The family is forever grateful to all the caregivers and health care aids that provided care and comfort to Rosamunda throughout her final years. Her strength and courage over the past few months provided inspiration to all. Her smile and sense of humor will forever remain in our hearts as we take comfort in her favorite saying of late, Don't worry, be happy! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St. Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
